Where insurance fits

Plans we bill.

PPO plans from Aetna, AmeriHealth, Horizon and UnitedHealthcare. Medicare, including Clover Medicare and Humana Medicare.

What we do not accept

HMO plans, from any carrier. HMO plans require your physician to serve as your primary care provider. We are designed to work alongside your PCP rather than replace them — you keep them for your base coverage and routine care, and come to us for the hormonal, metabolic and longevity care they are not set up to provide. That model is not compatible with HMO requirements.

If you have an HMO you are welcome as a self-pay patient, and we will still route your laboratory work through your insurance.

Covered care

Where your plan is one we accept and your care is a covered medical service, we bill your plan directly. That includes evaluation and management of menopausal and hormonal symptoms, low testosterone, obesity and metabolic disease, thyroid disorders, and the chronic conditions we manage alongside them, together with medically necessary laboratory work. Your copayment, coinsurance or deductible is collected at the time of your visit.

Network status is determined by your plan, not by us.

Plans change their networks and their benefit tiers, sometimes with little notice. If your plan places us out of network, or in a lower benefit tier than you expect, you will be responsible for the higher deductible or copayment that applies. If we are fully out of network with your plan, your visit reverts to our published self-pay rates.

We check before your appointment and tell you what to expect. We would far rather have that conversation in advance than have you discover it on a statement weeks later.

Your laboratory work still goes through your insurance.

Even when your visit is self-pay, we send your laboratory orders to your plan's preferred laboratory so your own benefit applies to the testing. You should not pay cash for bloodwork your insurance would have covered.

Prescriptions go to the pharmacy of your choice, where your own pharmacy benefit applies. Many hormone medications are inexpensive and well covered, so your insurance often pays for the medication even when a service here is self-pay.

Aesthetics

Consultation.

Aesthetic consultation
$200

Facial mapping and a treatment plan with Dr. Panah. The full $200 is applied as a credit toward any treatment you go on to book — so if you proceed, the consultation costs you nothing.

Xeomin® — priced by area, never by unit.

Your fee is set by which areas are treated, not by how much product your anatomy requires. You will never be charged more because your muscles happen to need a higher dose. Touch-ups to an area treated that day are included at your two-to-three week review.

Dermal filler — priced per syringe.

We use only Galderma and RHA products. RHA is the only hyaluronic acid collection FDA-approved for dynamic wrinkles and folds — the parts of your face that move — which is why the results look like you rather than like filler. Galderma makes Restylane® Eyelight™, the only filler in the United States approved for the tear trough.

Your two-week follow-up assessment carries no charge; any additional product placed is charged at the prevailing rate.

Every filler we use is hyaluronic acid based and reversible with hyaluronidase, which we keep on site.

Frequently asked

Pricing questions.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept PPO and Medicare plans from Aetna, AmeriHealth, Horizon and UnitedHealthcare, including Clover Medicare and Humana Medicare. We do not accept HMO plans. Call (609) 454-2865 with your plan details and we will confirm before you book.

Why don't you accept HMO plans?

HMO plans require your physician to serve as your primary care provider. We are designed to work alongside your PCP rather than replace them. If you have an HMO you are welcome as a self-pay patient, and we will still route your laboratory work through your insurance.

What if you are out of network with my plan?

Your visit is self-pay at our published rates — $250 initial, $150 follow-up. Laboratory work still goes through your insurance to your plan's preferred laboratory.

Why do you price Xeomin by region instead of by unit?

Because pricing by unit creates an incentive to under-dose. Charging by region means your physician can use the dose your anatomy actually requires, and your cost does not change.

Is the aesthetic consultation refunded if I book treatment?

It is applied in full as a credit. The $200 consultation fee comes off the cost of any treatment you go on to book, so if you proceed the consultation is effectively free.

Why don't you use Juvéderm?

We use Galderma and RHA products exclusively. RHA is the only hyaluronic acid collection FDA-approved for dynamic wrinkles and folds, which is what most of the face actually is, and Galderma makes the only filler approved in the United States for the tear trough. We would rather carry two lines we believe in than every line available.

Do I pay for medication separately?

Yes. Prescriptions go to the pharmacy of your choice and are billed by them, which means your own pharmacy benefit may cover part or all of the cost.

What is your cancellation policy?

We request 24 hours' notice for cancellations and rescheduling, as a courtesy to our other patients and to your provider.
